A new domestic air carrier is set to begin operations in the country in July, after receiving its licence from the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority.

Africa World Airlines is a private joint venture between Ghanaian firm, Strategic African Securities (SAS) Finance Group and a Chinese investment and technical partner.

General manager of SAS, an integrated investment banking and financial advisory firm, Apiigy Afenyu, said the new airline will run an all-jet service from Accra to Kumasi, Tamale and Takoradi.
